How can recognizing our weakness, though painful, bring us to know God?
Recognizing our weaknesses brings humility. And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them. Ether 12:27 When we recognize our weakness and powerlessness, then we can more fully understand how much we need the power of God. We give place for the Atonement and recognize our need for grace. If we ask for help and reach out to God, then that means we are asking Him to remove our shortcomings, but that is Step 7. This is Step 6 -- to become WILLING or ENTIRELY READY. That's all.
